Pittsburgh's Kamraton and
Minnesota's The Dream Songs Project with Ted Moore's Feathermucker
(mezzo-soprano, guitarist, and laptop)
Mezzo/guitar duo the dream songs project joins Minneapolis composer Ted Moore in a performance of his feature-length Feathermucker, for voice, guitar, and laptop—a combination of folk, experimental, and electronic music, cinematic sound fix, and sound art installation that sets the crumbled, post-apocalyptic world of Timothy Otte's text.
The DSP also performs music by Pittsburgh-based John Arrigo-Nelson and Federico Garcia-De Castro.
Opening the program, local ensemble Kamraton (since 2015 and presenting women-created and women-curated new music, and their signature series She Scores) kicks off their 2018–19 season with music by George Aperghis, Laura Kaminsky, and Ryan McMasters.
